Jordin Sparks Won the 2007 American Idol

Jordin Brianna Sparks (born on December 22, 1989 in Staten Island, New York) declared the winner of the American Idol season 6, 2007. This makes her the youngest winner in American Idol history.

She prevailed over beatboxer Blake Lewis, 25, after a triumphant performance Tuesday that wowed the show's judges and the viewers who gave her the majority of the record 74 million votes cast.

Jordin Sparks sang "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera and "A Broken Wing" by Martina McBride.

For their final performances, both contestants sang "This Is My Now," the tune picked by viewers in an online "American Idol" songwriting contest introduced this season, along with two other songs of their choice. [FOXNews]

The Milan striker scored his first on the stroke of halftime after he got in the way of a free kick by Andrea Pirlo to divert the ball past Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

He grabbed his second in the 82nd with a side-footed shot underneath Reina to seal Milan's victory.

Dirk Kuyt's powerful headed goal in the 88th minute was only a consolation for Liverpool.

Yipe! Paris Hilton is Going to Jail!

A Los Angeles judge stunned Hollywood Friday afternoon by sentencing Paris Hilton to jail for 45 days for violating her probation. The judge, saying "there's no doubt she knew her license had been suspended," ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

"We're confident we have sufficient evidence to prove that her license was suspended and that she had knowledge of that suspension," said Nick Velasquez, a spokesman for the city attorney's office.

An emotional Paris, with tears welling up in her eyes, told the judge moments before the decision "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Witnesses inside the courtroom say that Paris' parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were both visibly upset as the sentence was handed down. Kathy, we're told, was especially distraught.

Paris will serve her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF). She will begin her sentence on June 5. If Hilton fails to report on the scheduled date, her sentence will be doubled. [Source]

Gisele Bundchen Leaving Victoria's Secret

After 7 years, Gisele Bundchen is reportedly stepping down as lead angel for the lingerie giant because they refuse to increase her $5 million-a-year salary. Her sister confirmed that contract talks had broken down and a source says:

"Her demands were outrageous. She got a new lawyer who was unrealistic. Victoria's Secret doesn't care. They have five new hotter, younger girls debuting next year. And they won't have to deal with any craziness."

Reps for Bundchen didn't return e-mails. A rep for Victoria's Secret declined comment. [NYPost]
